Obstacles For this past trip, I was able to run Fins & Things, Steel Bender and Hells Revenge with my buddy who has a 2006 Land Rover LR3 all done up. Plenty of mud from a recent storm. All 4X4s, ATVs, motorcycles, and bikes must remain on designated roads and trails. If you take this trail, you will most likely want a custom rock buggy and possibly rear steering. A tour of Hells Revenge is so fun and is a great way to see the backcountry in Moab. The climb involves riding up the slope having a gradient of up to 65 degrees in places, reach the top, make a turn and slowly descend down. After passing by that morning heading to Fins and Things we decided to give Hell's Revenge a go that afternoon and what a great experience. After several descents, the trail travels through a brief section of sand before climbing up a chunky rocky hill that requires momentum if the terrain is wet. Hells Revenge is a trail we really enjoy. There are steep climbs and descents and some edges that are not for the faint of heart. If you only have time for 1 trail while you are here, it should be this one. I had no trouble, I just had to jump in and out of the Jeep quite a bit, haha. The trail is intertwined with the Slickrock Bike Trail. There are some off-road vehicle trails in Arches National Park, but Hells Revenge is not one of them. Rock ledges can exceed 24". Traverse up a long, steep, slickrock hill following black tire marks. Some spots will be needed for less experienced drivers, but there is a path a stock 4-door jeep can do without dragging or getting stuck. It is a waste land, if the 4x4s enjoy playing there it looks like a good place for them to tear up their trucks. Once the site of the old staging area, Hell's Revenge ends at an intersection with the paved Sand Flats Road south of the entrance gate.
